Christine!!! THis is TEXAS--No fake New York stuff in our refrigerator, although admittedly no one would notice if there were. THis Salsa was made in Richardson, just up the road a ways. It says authentic South Texas Salsa right on the label! All Natural ingredients! It's called On the Border. Which it isn't. But a little advertising hype is ok.

Last night I found some very frightening things at the bottom of my vegetable bin living rentfree. I evicted them, but am wondering if I need to establish some sort of refrigerator neighborhood association. Maybe put some of the more responsible older residents in charge, like the jar of Wheat Germ and the Major Grey chutney. (I love men in uniform). That way, they can check credentials and suitability of items trying to sneak in.

Just last week I found a thawed El Chico Breakfast Burrito next to the yogurt. I said, "What are you doing here?" But it apparently had not been enrolled in a bilingual class and didn't understand me. So I asked CW, who is the only one in the family who eats those things, and he said, "Oh, I found it in my swim bag."

"When?"

Yesterday."

"How long had it been there?" My skin crawled and I hastily put the burrito on the counter.

Blank gaze and a shrug from CW. "I dunno, maybe from the last meet."

I probably could have wiped out the City of Southlake if I could have put that burrito in the water supply.
