Well, Adaptec's products are used in Sun equipment, so it's not too far fetched. Wonder if I should buy back the JUL 15 covered calls I sold, they're pretty cheap now. Can you tell us any more about the rumor?

Actually, I would think that ADPT is trading at roughly 1.6 to 1.7 times sales (116 m shares outstanding, trailing sales of roughly one bn., share price 14). You are right, though, after deducting the 700 m+ cash first and not taking into account the long-term debt (1.65 bn. ./. 700 m is less than trailing sales). Personally, I wouldn't want to be bought out now, as I planned this as a long term experiment at an entry point of 19. Thank you in any case for posting this. It is so much more fun losing money if you can talk about it. ;-)) Johannes
