Hi Dale, Care to speculate how AMD's loss will affect Intel and the rest of the tech sector tomorrow?

Hi Shahen,

I haven't heard the CC, so I am speculating based on the press release. I think it will be somewhat of a positive for Intel. The size of the loss demonstrates AMD is not a true match for Intel, and maybe Intel can ease up on the pricing pressure, while still holding AMD underwater.

AMD cited losses other than the MP unit. But that only shows that AMD is in serious trouble. They didn't pre-announce, but you can be sure Jerry told the Big-Money on the street what was happening. I think we will see a further decline in AMD, but I don't think it will bring down the tech sector.
