Your points are valid. But short-term it is a mixed signal for Intel investors. I agree with what you said, but those points are mitigated with AMD's large losses. AMD is a weaker opponent than was expected, and that has to be factored into the equation.

AMD is on a mission to destroy Intel, and they are doing it at any price.

I think you mean they are on a mission to destroy Intel, and they are failing at a tremendous price.

Short-term is always unpredictable, but long-term I think it was a positive for Intel.

AMD is destroying itself - NOT INTEL !

Last I heard, Intel was still making PROFITS of ONE BILLION DOLLARS PER QUARTER.
