George, As you must know, the folks at Ancor do follow this thread and are as bothered by inaccuracies or errant speculation as any of us would be if we watched our jobs/business being discussed everyday. When issues arise that require technical clarification or information, and they obviously surface almost daily, could you seek out Cal Nelson or someone else at Ancor who would be willing to give you their technical perspective? I really appreciate your participation on SI and wish that you could establish a closer "public" link to Ancor's side of the technology issues by posting the responses you would get from your contacts. Only some of those who follow this thread can dare to ask technical questions; you are clearly one. As an observer of the technical discussions, it appears to me that there is a good deal of speculation and hypothesis among yourselves regarding what Ancor and others are doing, and I often can't tell if any of you have asked Ancor or the others. I'm not referring to NDA issues, but things such as "private and public loops", or "cascading vs. whatever". I'm sure that sometimes the Ancor team would love to post an answer to our questions, and, because they can't - won't - shouldn't, they need us to be part of their public information system. A big "Thanks!" to you and the others who "talk the talk" with ANCR already. I would appreciate more posts that start with: "The folks at Ancor say......."
