I agree that the give aways will not last forever but Bell could easily afford to give much lower cost monitoring, particularly if they can use their marketing clout to acquire market share. This will put pressure on other monitoring stations. On the whole though, I believe that niche players like Counterforce can survive, as long as they keep their dealers happy. Without them , Counterforce is toast. The comments made by Oss lately, give me some concern.

On the question of valuation, I did the math based on your posting and in the best case senario, Counterforce is worth about $1.50 per share. I called my Counterforce dealer on this and he said that Counterforce only gets half the revenue and the dealer gets the other half. He seemed to think that for this reason counterforce would likely sell for a price toward the bottom of the range (i.e About $1.00 per share.) Sounds reasonable, but I'm not in a position to confirm this with potential buyers. What do you think?

Also, if Mytec sell counterforce (which I don't think is planned) they would probably have some tax to pay, so the net to the shareholders would be even less than stated.

I once held Counterforce very high and was very proud to use the services. I was not impressed from about 1996 to the present time.

I could go on and on but I do not think this would be very productive. I now am trying a couple different places as you stated the clients are very important and if the right things are not done now stations could close.

If $3.00 per month exists with excellent service I will find it. I have sent too many unanswered letters to the last station and I will not have no more of this.

I was also told I was the only dealer that felt this way so I picked up the phone and called 10 other dealers. Nine where using different services so I guess I'm not really alone.

Dennis stated he is working at this problem now but I see them going in a different direction right now. I would give up 30 fly by night dealers for one of the Corp Club dealers (Oh the Corp Club is history).

These where the top 10% of the Counterforce dealers. I called the president last summer and I was told they had not had a meeting in over a year and a half. Why????

If I had my top 10% on a list I would bend over backwards and make sure they where looked after. I'm glad I resigned from the group in 1996 it would be too painful to watch this and be a member.

Counterforce are setting up right now through a loan to put in low end cost systems. I see this as a serious marketing disadvantage. I do not want to quote along side another Counterforce dealer that is prepared to put the system in free.

I need to be different if this is going to happen. I had this problem once before when another dealer was allowed to take one of my accounts. The client thought we were all the same and had no problem switching over.

I was faxed on Monday stating the client had switched. I had over 200 accounts he had 3. I stopped using their services that week. I was very upset about this as I had to show insurance and prove my company yet a company not even registered with Bell was allowed to take it.

Sometimes no policy is worst than having a policy. Counterforce now have something in place to stop this I'm told. I would like to see another meeting of the dealers.

I would like to see Counterforce take the chance and get us all in the same room again. We all need to talk or we are going to go in different directions down the road.

If Counterforce plan on leading this industry again we all need to talk. Counterforce should at this point explain what the game plan is and we could all work together to achieve it. NETWORKING

This year will be the last year for those with poor plans as it is really getting crazy. Bell is going to be a major factor if unchecked.

Getting prepared will help. Counterforce should be working at getting all the dealers up to the highest level they can.

This would assure they could market themselves as the very best. I will be watching this year to see how they do as I apply to the bank to do the same thing.

Why not finance it ourselves and than the client is ours. There are a few companies that will do this now here in Canada if you want to work for free.
