To my knowledge the only competitors in the voice activated PA arena are Wildfire and Webley, so they would be the only ones in the way of MagicTalk. I have used both demos and both seem to be good with the voice rec. Webley is centrally located/controlled out of chicago though, while Wildfire is through resellers with local hardware, etc.

As to the question of the Wildfire action.. I have no idea, I have been trying to find out myself! I have looked everywhere from LexisLegal to actual PTO depository librarians and court clerks and have found no news of a filing of a suit past an article that mentioned talks last september. Anyone with any info at all.. HELP???

Those monetary estimates seem a bit high, or not depending on the time frame you are looking at. I think that numbers are a bit hard to predict without reseller info, marketing strategies, etc. Also it is tough to say whether the entire market for this service is looking for voice rec. There are several companies offering touchtone services with all the call forwarding/faxing/conferencing features of GMGC that most people really want (Startouch, Call Sciences, Network MCI, Linx Comm).

BUT! I am interested to hear other estimates from the thread given the info of a couple posts ago concerning the beta testing etc.

newbie cheers!
