Oooohhh, you got us AGAIN. <GGG> we are so sneaky... And it doesn't contradict anything; it's a new product, that's all.

And, how else can your statement be interpreted suggesting that he go research another stock??

It's a new product being introduced the week before the biggest trade show of the year. The press release says nothing about current or anticipated sales. If the bulls are reduced to viewing something like this as a positive sign, then AMAT must *really* be in trouble.

IMHO, AMAT's new Producer platform is much more interesting from an investor's perspective. It actually addresses real customer concerns, rather than merely staking out technological ground.

because amat could introduce a complete solution to copper at 300mm at a 50% discount to curent cost of 200mm and it would make no difference to amat's medium term prospects, as nobody is buying.... there just is no liquidity in the industry outside of europe and INTC.... and even they are pushing out because the foot has been taken off the pedel.... there is (in IMHO) a very good chance that investment in Tiawain will be postponed until it becomes a part of china... and a probability that japan will slip into the mother of all recesions... together they equal 50% of AMAT's revs... and everybody else is pushing out tooo..... hope supports AMAT now.... when it is gone it will be time to load up... but not now
