Annualized ROI doesn't work unless one is fully invested all the time. When I run the scan against the general population of 4000 stocks, the scan generates 59 trades in a year such as 1994 (when the average trade lasted 32 days) to 115 trades for 1997 (with average trade lasting 26 days). The results for 1994 were 67.5% AROI with a low success rate of 80%. 1995 had a success rate of 95% with AROI of 99%.

I may have to ease the [volume ESA] >= 2500 filter to let in high RS/EPS candidates in a separate scan.

By the way, the latest two hits were for this week:

NKE Nike 51 7/16
HTCH Hutchinson Technology 24 3/4

My goal is to arrive at 6 new positions per month. Since the average trade lasts 1 to 1/2 months, that would be possible to approximate the Annualized ROI.
