Daniel you are fine and just exercising your freedom of speech. Today's new release I believe is the final chapter of cleaning this mess up as far as Midland's legal mess goes. Time to focus on other levels now. Anyone with a problem or a view about the legal part should just pay the money, retain an attorney and do what they got to do.

The legal is now in the courts so I am not going to get in any discussions on that. The Liquidating Trust paperwork I believe went to NASD on July 2, 1998 more than ten days to the announced SOR. Hopefully NASD will assign July 14, 1998 as the exdividend date but it is cash so it does not matter about the stock and who wants to sell it.

The legal horse is dead and beating it is futile at this point. Up to the courtsd now.

Dan,

I agree with your points regarding Midland. Just read the January 22, 1998 Press Release put out by MIDLAND. It's post #11 on the Arconenergy Board.

Midland announces all these "facts" about Arcon:

* They MANUFACTURE an octane and oxygen enhancer........blah blah...

* It's products ARE patented in countries around the.....blah blah...

* They HAVE production facilities in ................blah blah...

* Additional locations are CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION IN INDIANA ILLINOIS, and KENTUCKY

* The Company also produces oil and gas in South Texas

Go ahead and read it...it's almost laughable.

Now exactly how much of this was actually true? Where does Midland's RESPONSIBILITY START - much less end?

How could all these men just sit around at a Board of Directors meeting and not one of them say...gee, maybe we should go SEE the locations that Arcon says are UNDER CONSTRUCTION in Illinois ..Indiana...Kentucky......Maybe we should SEE the patents for all these other countries...much less the U.S.... maybe we should SEE production facilities in Houston.... Maybe we should have our attorney AUTHENTICTE some of these things we are telling our current and prospective shareholders in this press release.

I don't believe that you can "blame" this on just one man from either company.

I am seeing EVERYTHING being blamed on just one person and their affiliates. HELLO!!!! If the board hadn't allowed themselves to be duped in the first place, they most likely wouldn't have been duped later on...and we most likely would not be enduring this loss now. Midland had plenty of time to check up on this guy...check up on all those "negotiations with foreign countries" and "several major companies on a global basis" and "pursuing the Canadian Market actively at this time". Come on....did they have their heads in a.......never mind.

I'm still holding everything... at this point, there's not much left to sell....and I do believe that eventually we will recover and I'll just have to stay here and hope that the Midland Board can put it together right the next time.

Yes, Daniel, as you said....we are talking about a certain LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY here. Lets just hope that the Board now elevates that level considerably higher. Saying that the Board was "duped" is putting it mildly....it sounds like a kid who guessed the candy was in the wrong hand. Yes, this was way beyond duped....I'll refrain for now from saying the other words that come to mind..

I just hope the next time Midland decides to acquire a company, they will carefully lift up the wool that they apparently had pulled down over their eyes this last time around.
