Actually, there was quite a meeting yesterday at the Cirrus campus. I haven't got all the details about it yet but as soon as I do I will let everyone know. That is unless someone else already has the details. No, it wasn't with Lucent and you should not expect, hope, pray, well you can pray if you want, anything such as a takeover just yet. It is still way to early. The shareholders meeting is not until the 21st and it will take some time to do a shake out. Based on everything I have read and heard, I really don't think there will be much change at the CEO level and maybe not even a sell off of divisions or the company. Hackman has already declared that the company is being redirected, they have announced a number of new products, got out of the graphics accelerator business (no way are they getting back in contrary to some reports) and the have installed a very competent COO/President in David French. I just don't think that with all the major changes and new products that one should expect anything such as a buyout/merger. At least not for now. Hey, isn't YAHOO the message board everyone was talking about yesterday regarding the "death" of Mike Hackworth? At least it shows that a lot of the people over there have a lot of class.
