Well this tread looks dead, but it just might get some pop to it today or Friday as there might be announcement at the end of the bell.
Could be that Tracy is stepping down or Varian is going to split up to 3 companys. All rumors but wait and see. Should be fun to watch.

I was wondering if you could give me some insight as to the health of VAR's other businesses.

[I have visited the ION Implant facilities/management in Gloucester ... I am reasonably comfortable with that side of the business ... which should be spun-out ... good people, good product,etc.]
