It is just for an internet medium to reveal the real identities of allegedly libelous writers

Peter, if an internet medium is to be forced to reveal names, then surely there has to be more than mere "allegations?"

Also this particular ruling by a Canadian judge was done ex parte (meaning only the interests of the Plaintiffs were represented in the courtroom). I was chilled to the bone when I read the news this morning.

There are valid reasons to remain anonymous, but often anonymity becomes unaccountability. Using my real name keeps me honest.

You might be honest, but anonymity is a personal choice often made to protect oneself from the many sinister deviants inhabiting this planet. Just go and ask Janice Shell how she likes her phone number and address being broadcast to all the world.

I hope you re-think your stated position

best wishes
