Yes, Gerald Pitner, exec vp, sold shares in May at about this price. Those shares represented less than 15% (if my math is right) of his holdings(per PLXS proxy material), which are still substantial - about 350,000 shares.
When one considers that until last year his salary was relatively modest (115k), the sale of some shares isn't relevant.
Your more important point regarding the downgrades "intended to guide the stock lower" because of reduced expectations is not the view of Baird analyst P. Shain.
His conclusion was that the revision was "macro related" and not at all " tied to events at Plexus". It was an effort to bring a slightly higher than company guidance into line.
So maybe forward comments, which I agree will be influential for the stock price, will not sound caution but actually strike a firmly positive note. That's my expectation. we'll see soon, Friday I think. jh
