What does this bring Microsoft's market capitalization up to?

Jim -
I guess you're right. Maybe we should petition Sun to get her some good research assistance, at least then there would be some real information added to the debate.

OT - Dell's not looking too shabby for the week, even CPQ is crawling up. Maybe a fun 2nd half 98???

Jim,

You really should not worry about Cheryl too much. I just feel sorry for her. This site is called Silicon Investor. We can sit and talk about the relative merits and strengths or weaknesses of these companies/products and how they do business all day long.

But the bottom line, our report card as investors is what has our return been on funds invested. There is no comparision. Hands down MSFT has been the better investment over the last 100 months, 100 weeks, 100 days. The charts are available here on SI for all to see. They unlike us are brutally objective.

So Cheryl can pontificate all she wants, but as MSFT investors, especially the long termers among us, we know we have won and there is nothing that she can say to refute it.

The proof is in the financial results ($) MSFT wins game set and match so far. - Regards,
Brian

PS. While one should not fall in love with their stocks, I do love owning MSFT. However, it does not prevent me from seeing other opportunites as well. June-Aug 97 I was playing with SUNW options and did very well. I have NOVL leaps right now that are doing well. Cheryl would be well advised to think more like an investor and less like a propeller head when it comes to her money.
