Oh, but Mr. Fuller, I am sadly right ON topic when it comes to Sony crushing Iomega. Zip's demise will be painful, but necessary. Iomega should be commended for bringing awareness to superfloppy technology. However, it is time for the REAL floppy replacement to arrive. This 200MB Sony HiFi replacement will coincide peacefully with Standard Floppies, as a Sony 200MB HiFi Drive can operate with BOTH medias. Thus, there is no conflict whether as to decide between installing a floppy, or a Zip in newer, space-deprived computer cases. Neither will suffice. However, Sony's 200MB HiFi w/ Floppy-compatibility can do the trick just nicely. First, Jaz gets gutted this past half year by CD-R/W and SparQ. Now, Castlewood and Sony are coming with the coup de gras in ORB and DVD-RAM. Next is Zip's turn. Zip will realize a 50% reduction in retail sales within 3 months of Sony HiFi's release. Believe it.
