Could be a "dead cat bounce", then again the trader broker who explained it to me said that sometimes the "fill" is a quick down and then back up to the support level. But with other stocks that I actually own, I have seen the fill, then up, and then back down below the gap and stay there for a few days or even weeks, forming a new base before finally moving back up. Either scenario. My "gut" feeling is that there wasn't enough volume to "convince" me that the shorts have fully covered and are ready to take it up.

On these BB stocks, I have often noticed a dip on light volume followed by huge volume at the bottom and then the move up on continued high volume.

Mike Sawyer? Any other opinion? All this IMHO only.

Russ

A stock almost always rallies off the filled gap. If the company has real value then it may move up never to return to that level. But if it's got big ugly skeletons on the closet then it will slowly begin another descent until the life is squeezed out. But of course a suckers rally or two can be expected in almost any sliding stock.

I can't explain why...but a gap is almost like a secret marker for savy traders. NEVER fight against the gap.

Go pull charts on 100 gapped stocks and you'll find 95 of them filled the gap...sometimes it takes months but they almost always get filled.

LT,

The gaps are often support lines for a stock. In this case
I believe the stock was brought down to fill the gap and like I
mentioned in my post during the day yesterday that if we close
back up close to $1.00 we are going higher. The candle pattern
for yesterday created a perfect hammer which usually points to
a reverse in the trend. We should go higher next week. This almost
always works on Nasdaq stocks, I will need confirmation to see
how the BB stock reacts.
