The day after the recent one million-plus share day, the Financial Post (for U.S. threaders, this is Canada's equivalent of the Wall Street Journal) listed two block purchases of 500,000 shares each. (FP shows block trades daily in a special section.) Purchaser of one block is listed as First Marathon. Purchaser of the second block is also listed as First Marathon, along with Cannacord (a brokerage firm).

Does anyone know if First Marathon is a broker? Or is it a fund?

While this is my first posting. I am a long-term reader of this thread and have owned Inflazyme stock since 1995. I'm hanging in for the long term.

Harold,

Good guess. Dr. Salari divested himself of 829,000 shares (on 40+ trades) from the period March 25/98 to May 25/98. As of May 25 he held 2,030,202 shares of IZP.

Goldman Sachs owned 3,579,754 shares and 2,020,298 warrants of IZP as on June 25/98.

Dr. Salari sold 30,500 and 54,000 shares of IZP on June 23/24 respectively bringing his holdings to 1,945,702. (From the Current Edition of Insider Trading Reports)

Can anyone explain why Dr. Salari has dumped nearly 1,000,000 shares since January?
