Dear Martin:

I was surprised to read about your bad experiences with Schwab. I've also been a Schwab 500 customer but have had an excellent experience with that company. I've tried to get to know team members and have a couple who I can turn to with specific problems -- we all will have them from time to time. I do most of my trading directly online. While Schwab's rates certainly aren't the cheapest, I feel their level of service, customer commitment, reliability and research capability make fees acceptable for now. They will eventually have to reduce them, IMO.

Best or luck in the future or at least better luck! I felt compelled to write this note in fairness to Schwab and to balance things a bit.

eSchwab good or not? Lurkers please respond! Martin responded to my earlier post with stories of serious problems (which this post is in reply to). Are experiences like his commonplace as he suggests that they might be? Thanks in advance.
