I am not sure why there is a whole group of Americans who seem totally callous about the Indians. If you look at their life expectancy, serious diseases and any other rates by which we measure the health and well being of a group of people, they are still not doing very well.

I think it is very cold to have stolen America from them and then begrudge them the tiny victories they can eke out to somehow balance the scales of justice. That is exactly what I don't like about America.

>>"From what I hear you Native Americans have a racket."<<

Yes Ish, some tribes do have a racket going for them. There are two tribes in CT that own two very successful casinos. One of them is the Foxwoods Casino, the largest and most profitable casino in the world.

Every man, woman and child in the tribe is a millionaire many times over. Even though we are all Native Americans the sharing of wealth between tribes is not very popular. Sure they throw a few crumbs to the have nothing tribes but thats about it. It is probably because of our long history of intertribal warfare. Tribalism is still very much a part of our culture. For hundreds of years we raided each other's villages, killed the warriors and took the women and children prisoner to be used as slaves.

I guess you could say there was not too much love between tribes.
