Remember the concerted campaign microsoft was planning to deluge media with supporting letters and views? they went ahead with it. This is but one example. This is getting really old, and microsoft has lost me for ever. As an IT professional, I'm actively avoiding and UNrecommending anything microsoft. If I ever get interested in a management position, I'll make sure microsoft will be out of the picture. I just bought a new HD and OpenLinux. Will be doing the installation over the weekend. This

I'll bet it's pretty easy to get to be a "Research Fellow" and professor. I'll assume your credentials are much better than his, and truct your opinion. This guy obviously knows nothing about software. And you do? Isn't Microsoft big enough to defend itself? Yes. Doesn't Microsoft have three or four PR agencies on its payroll? Yes. Could this be the reason there are constant articles about the inevitability of Windows NT taking over the world? No, that probably because it's true. Didn't magazines practice JOURNALISM in the good old days and present both sides of an issue? Um, no. Maybe you are thinking of newspapers? Research Fellow? If his title were "Incompetant Boob" I could accept his positions as being sincere. I don't think he did any "research". It's amazing to me how some jackass could deride someone with credentials and education vastly superior to their own, simply because of their childish, hype-driven hatred towards Microsoft. Here - I'll construct your reply for you to save you time: "Microsoft shill! How much did they pay you? If you don't have an irrational hatred towards everything Microsoft and a closed mind on the issue, then you must work for them!"
