What in heavens do you call those flashing banner ads? I knew once SI was sold ($38MM I believe) things would change. I still couldn't believe when I read this great web site is made up of 2 brothers and a woman (webmistress) based in a garage in Kansas? I signed on with SI many moons ago when there was no charge. As much as I like it, I wouldn't pay $200 for the reasons Michelle describes; SI may be gone in an Internet minute. Also, it goes against my grain of thinking paying up front a lifetime membership. I want any enterprise to earn my renewal business year after year.
