The websites are so great to find. . When I have time to figure it out, that plus the advanced trading software Schwab offers all in one place, it seems less likely a fool and their money will be parted as quickly, anyway.

I'm in high here also. The immediate drop for me is a drop. For most, it is simply a very small percentage of their enormous profits momentarily disappearing on paper. BIG DIFFERENCE.

That's the problem with a group discussion. You've got 25 speaking investors, all with totally different vested interests and panic points and pre-determined jump out points. Or perhaps neither since those points would be so low they will not be reached again here, perhaps.

Interesting. HAdn't thought about that.

At another stock the day traders were all dying over a 2 day slump, which was only vaguely concerning me because I was still way ahead. Bought back in with a higher priced block , and the next 2 day slump that followed was of the same concern to me since it was now loss to me on paper.

I can see how those in at .15 are irritated with people in at $1.26 (me) making panic statements, though. From my very most favorite line in probably my lifelong favorite movie still: "It all depends on your point of view."

I have been doing quite a bit more research on ALYA since I last posted on this thread. I like what I see, but the microcap stocks like ALYA are very volatile. Everything I look at concerning ALYA looks great except for the following:

1.) There has been some limited insider selling.
2.) The technical situation is indeed suspect.
3.) The market makers are having short term fun at long term buyers expense.

I have started to acquire a long term position in ALYA because I really believe in this company's future. My continued due diligence has only strengthened that belief. Unfortunately with ALYA, as with so many of the OTC BB stocks, the recent trend has been down. Even the Russell 2000(small cap index) has seriously under performed the major indexes which measure the growth of larger cap stock values. Personally I feel that this only makes these stocks a better buy. However it's really important to do good due diligence. I have made it a habit to start contacting company officials before I invest in any security these days. It doesn't eliminate all your risk by any means but it does make you feel better informed.

It's best to buy any stock after the hysteria over good news has given way to a pullback. This is especially true with a stock like ALYA which has lost any technical strength that might bring buying from those who put more weight on technical analysis that fundamental analysis. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I think ALYA will be a huge long term winner but the best times to buy the stock would be on those quiet days when it is not moving higher. There should be many good news releases in the future which will move the stock higher. Smart investors would be well advised to buy on the days that the stock pulls back, adding to your position slowly, and in small lots, using limit orders so you will not pay too much.

ALYA has a long way to go higher before we are even above the 50 day moving average and that makes ALYA fodder for the market makers for sure. Fortunately the 200 MA which appears to be holding and may provide a bounce higher on future good news:

There are many investors who are holding ALYA shares for it's long term potential. I think they will do very well indeed. The float is pretty small and as long as these shares don't end up being constantly flipped by market timers and short term traders the ALYA longs will win on the basis of improving fundamentals.

In my opinion, it's only a matter of time before the improving fundamentals begin to an improve the technical situation.
