Craig, Whoooaaaaa! Let me come back to find where I spurred such an attack from! So are you advocating killing off all non-Christians, as well as those who worship God using images? Here's my thought pattern. 1. The God of Christianity is the truth. 2. The tribes around that time period were worshipping other Gods. 3. I believe God had the right to kill them (as He has the right to kill me for the things I've done against Him throughout my life.) Does that mean I should go kill everyone? No... I've never even been in a fight. God has the right to judge, not me. If the God of Christianity is the truth however, then were these people bringing Him glory or disobeying him at that time? At that point in time, God decided that the best way to do things was to kill people sometimes that threatened the Jews physically or through the indoctrination of their pagan religions (again pagan is IMO). For extra credit, how does killing people who worship Gods made out of metal fit in with Jesus's teaching to love your enemy? I see how you see my response as hypocritical. We as humans have NO RIGHT TO JUDGE others. I'll admit to doing this though many times throughout my life, but I shouldn't have. God has the right to judge, no one else. Jesus told people to love our enemies, but God retains the right to judge them here on Earth or afterwards. BTW, your first paragraph really emphasized my point about metal idols. I didn't mean to emphasize metal idols. I believe God has the right to kill us all for sinning against him. His mercy and grace save some of us. I really don't want to come off as some hate-monger, as I don't feel that way to anyone. I believe God loves us all, and as I said above I have no right to judge. I also believe that He is the Truth and the way to live according to the Truth is through Jesus. It's a hard line stance, but I can't back down. God bless all, Grant
