Glenn - Re: "DiskOnChip 2000 (flash disk). "

You need to do some follow up.

A 2 MegByte DiskOnChip runs $50, but the 72 MegaByte version runs $867:

{===================}
emjembedded.com

72MB DiskOnChip &
ROM-DOS
$867.00

{===================}

At that rate, NSM will have to give their Media GX away for free along with about $667 cash rebate to get the price down to $200.

And that doesn't even include the MOTHERBOARD!

Paul

Glenn, >>>What clues do have you as to who can make a profit in this low price segment (which in my opinion, has not yet even REALLY begun)? <<<

You remind me a lot of those comic keystone generals who plot on taking over the world with weapons left over from the previous war.

This is the dawn of the age of the microprocessor - applications using microprocessors have only begun. When we look back, years from now, current versions word processors, email, and surfing the net would be like digital equivalents to wheel barrows when compared to supersonic air transport. Yet, you would have us believe that the future rests on a microprocessor that when properly tweaked can manage stripped down versions of word processors and spread sheets.

FWIW, your vision of the future does not look like a good investment to me.
