VVUS Short Interest: The best source I have found is my broker, Fidelity. For the Past three weeks I have called and gotten Week ending Friday Short Interest. They have access to a program called Nelson. The reports are generated on Friday but the Fidelity desk doesn't have access till Saturday PM or even Sunday. Still ahead of Monday AM open. Any of you should be able to get this info from your own brokerage house. 2 Weeks ago Friday 7/3 Short Interest 14.3 million. Last Friday 7/10 Short Interest was 13,743,171.... A Decline! I'll try to post the Friday numbers weekly...but suggest you all do also. Al

DB --- good luck @ the hospital and have a good time in NY! AL, at this level shorts have to be very brave thinking VVUS may drop far enough to risk currant gains. It seems unless they are already sitting on substancial profits they would cover as downside is minimal from here and upside potential is great. Seems it would take very little to get a nice bounce from here and on the chance of a partner an unstoppable run,,,, any mention of a buyout being announced would see VVUS soar..... so only those with solid profits are still here and will rejoyce IF there is any minor drop from here but will run to cover on ANYTHING positive coming IMO.
