bede, regarding QP2:

1. Very smooth implementation.
2. Excellent, trouble-free daily downloads and database updates. Fast.
3. Very quick charts. Black background makes some lines hard to see.
4. Number of indicators limited on charts, but enough to get the idea of stock health.
5. Keyboard 1-stroke keys for most used functions (see the CAPS): Daily/Weekly, Macd, Rsi, obV, cHaikin money flow, Stochastics, spLit history, Periods to display, Fundamentals, etc..
6. Easy (for some) programming language identical to a subset of BASIC for creating your own search criteria. (I wish there were a more robust instruction set: static variables, arrays, File I/O, etc.. Gary, why not implement the whole language? Heh, heh.)

Overall, it is perfect for me, a beginning TA person who is still reading the books. I love getting the fundamentals at the touch of a finger. I wish NEWS were integrated by date as well. (GARY?????) Once I can recognize chart and trading patterns instantly, I may want to supplement or switch to a more robust system, but that won't be for a year or more.

QP2 is the perfect entry point for people choosing their first daily data feed and charting program.

I have not been able to tell if Quote-Plus V2 is a good product yet since for some reason my access to the Q2 server has been dropped since last Thursday . I have posted e-mails to Quotes-Plus about this problem. I have checked my credit cards and they are fully operational, so that is not the problem. Initially Quotes-Plus has indicated a problem with user login ids which was to be rectified last Friday afternoon. This apparently was not the cause of my problem with their service.

I have given them until today to resolve this problem since I cannot be without my chart data in the middle of my option trades on stock any longer. So I am hoping this gets resolve by this evening. This problem comes after an initial problem with accessing their BBS service a few weeks ago which apparently was never resolved.

From what I hear the package is very good for those who want a high degree of control over their scans. This and the selection of fundamental data to scan on is where this package excels. But I would rather have reliable access to end-of-day data and give up my control over this degree of control over the scanning process. So if this problem is not resolved by tonight, I will be signing up first thing that morning with TC2000 and cancelling my subscription with Quotes-Plus. As it is, I have been left without important EOD data on a significant open options position which is not a good way to trade.

I understand this thread is one "happy family" with their Quotes-Plus V2 product. But I hope you understand the need for timely end-of-day data which I have not been receiving due to access problems with their Internet server and BBS. So I am not placing the product itself in a bad light.
