AJ,

Contrary to popular belief, the cookies of your broker cannot talk to or read from the cookies from your movie investments. Although it is one big file, it is separate in information. Rest easy and enjoy Debbie.

However if you are unable to ease your mind with the above,,, Just turn off the option (in your browser) that automatically accepts cookies.

Cookie busters...

I'm pretty happy with Cookie Pal, from kburra.com

It has a configurable filter, so that you can let in cookies that you must have (like your broker, or United Airlines, whose stupid web site won't work without cookies) while keeping out the advertising cookies that you don't want.

I found it at Tucows (who also have several others, if you don't like this one), but the above is the developer's site. It shareware, pay after trial period... my trial hasn't run out, so I don't know how strongly it enforces... but it's nice enough to pay! Comes in both Win 95 and Win NT versions.
