Emile,

From what I have read on this thread, you and Grant are in the same camp in regards to Christianity. Because of that ....I have a comment and some questions for you:

When I read Grants post and he referred to the "Isreali's" I had no question who we was talking about. You made a big deal about correcting his use of the term Isreali.....when you say is should be Isrealites. Here is my questions:

1. Is there reason that these two words cannot be used interchangeably? I have included the Merriam-Websters definitions of each word. I realize you define the two words with your post but not sure that the distinction is necessary in this forum.
Israelite .Is*ra*el*ite [1] (noun)
[Middle English, from Late Latin Israelita, from Greek Israelites, from Israel]
First appeared 14th Century
: a descendant of the Hebrew patriarch Jacob; specifically : a native or inhabitant of the ancient northern kingdom of Israel

Israeli [2] (noun), plural Israelis also Israeli
First appeared 1948
: a native or inhabitant of the republic of Israel

2. Was this an issue worth a public admonishment?

3. Did this correction of Grant's choice of terminology do anything to further the Kingdom?

4. Could this legalistic view point, actually have proven the pagan's view on this thread that says......show me where the Christian life and compassion is any different?

5. Would you say that this correction may further give credence to the idea that Christians are narrow minded and have to have everything their own way or else??
