A question for the networking guru's:

I'm setting up a small LAN (8 or 9 workstations), some have fast ethernet cards while a couple have 10baseT. I have two hubs, one for each standard.

can I connect the two hubs with a 2-port switch? is there some other option? or do I have to scratch the the 10baseT all-together.

If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm trying to find the most cost effective solution...

Thanks

My system need to be at least PII-300 with Asus P2B motherboard and
128 MB PC 100 SDRAM, Quantum .... 8.3 Gbyte ultra SCSI drive with Diamond Fireport. or other hard drive, Matrox Productive (8 MB AGP) and 8 MB PCI for other monitor. Also I
need 2 high quality 17" monitors max. res 1600x1200.

Looking for opinions on this config multimontors w/win 98.

Any advice - Thanks Behrooz

To anyone: Anybody have any experience with Midwest Micro?
mwmicro.com ? Looks like they have 400mhz with
19" monitor, 128mb ram, Win NT WS, 100mhz ram on mb, BX chipset,
8.4 gb Ultra IDE for 2499. Sounds too good to be true, so
probably is.

If we've been talking about this site in the past, my
apologies. I'm operating without memory lately (of any speed).

Thanks,

Spots
