I liked the spin on that CPQ piece. Here's a quote from WSJ today:
wsj.com

For PC makers, the home market for years has produced the slimmest
profit margins, usually well under 10%. However, Compaq Chief
Executive Officer Eckhard Pfeiffer said in April that its consumer division
had reached the double-digit profit-margin range and last month said the
unit was "doing a fabulous job."

Is that 11 or 12%? And that's the best they have going? Anyone remember when CPQ was grossing 25% and the stock was trading around 10 (split adjusted)?

Tip, I don't believe we will see the end of half a piece's hibernation until CPQ reports a profit because it wrote off all of its inventory and gave the DEC takeover as an excuse. Whoops, they are already rolling out that trick. <G>
