LOL

There is no denying that there is often a tendency at the Fed to act like a parent trying to get the kids to calm down and play quietly.

Rather than just dismissing someone's ideas by calling them a hawk, why don't you give us some studious rebuttal to the points contained in the article? Do you think Lindsey is wrong that the US economy is overheating? Do you think that the next move for rates is down rather than up and why?

It's easy to attach a label to someone, such as bear or hawk, and summarily dismiss their ideas as unworthy of discussion. Unfortunately this is hardly the reason most of us frequent these boards. I for one am interested in both sides of any argument and want to hear the most well thought out reasoning there is, in case I am wrong.

I have worn your label in the past, as you have called me a bear on another thread because of my concerns about inflation. I have been trading currencies since 1985 when I first shorted the US dollar and have been long the US dollar (via Yen, D-Mark and Swiss Franc shorts) since late 1995. I believe an accurate forecast on inflation and interest rates will be critical in timing the next sea change in currencies. Please do not thwart discussion on these topics by simply throwing out a catchword. You do us all a disservice by ending reasoned discussion with such devices. It would be just as easy to label you an ostrich and dismiss all of your posts as naive.
