Did they make some positive comments because their price aren't that far off of the closing price?

Market is always looking at least 6 mo ahead. It is not what had already happened but the outlook.

Unfortunally, when a company misses it's number a lot of institutionals just automatically sell.

Yes but in this case alot of those institutionals were already out of Intel on the sidelines. I think they will start looking at Intel again and will like what they see. IMO
