Here's the significance of Wcom at $41 (though it scarcely matters now):

If Wcom trades below 41 but above 29 on average over the 20 trading days prior to the merger, Mcic holders will get the number of Wcom shares per Mci share that gives them a value of $51 a share. Above Wcom 41 we get a straight 1.2439 Wcom per Mcic. (Below 29 its a different, stright ratio as well.)

Both Wcom and Mcic are going up from here. Before and after the merger. Down in a correction, but less than most. In my view.
