Maxwell,

You and I have not read through all these posts here, but I watched CNBC from 6:00PM to 7:15PM before taking off to the gym to work out. Any way, the $0.66 EPS is not as bad as it appears. There is a one-time charge of some sort which Barry's post gave a very good explanation:

Message 5194207

On top of that, the CFO of Intel, Andy Bryant (spelling) said Celeron has been very successful. The transition from P5 to P6 system is executing very smoothly.

If you really want to sell your shares of Intel tomorrow, I am going to buy yours. Thank you.

Oh, Maxwell, wait.

I also remember (from CFO of Intel or Joe Kernen of CNBC) that Asian market for Intel in Q2/98 is flat, despite the Asian crisis. Bucking the trend, the Japanese market is slightly up.

Maxwell - Re: " I'm getting out tomorrow"

I'd dump this dog right away. H*ll, 1.2 Billion in Profits!

There are plenty of better companies with deep losses you can invest in.

I'm getting out tomorrow hopefully above $80/sh.

Maxwell, you are making me laugh just reading your posts.
What's the hurry? Do you really think INTC is about to implode.
No way. Short term is anyone's guess, but this stock will move higher.

How can you sleep holding AMD is a better question. AMD's creditors are first in line and even they seem to be getting nervous. They are putting restrictions on Jerry such as a $1/shr profit in Qtr4. Well even Jerry knows that won't happen. You as an AMD shareholder are last in line, and you don't seem to mind.
