rudedog,

what your take on the profit margin issue for the sub-$1000 machines.? I read somewhere that consumer products rarely get above a 10% profit margin. I believe that Compaq's machine get slightly above 10%. How can the sub-$1000 machines have a higher margin than the $2,000 machines? Is this good or bad?

Just to set the record straight, I did not say that Schrock was outright lying. I said that the information being dispensed by CPQ is misleading and fragmentary at best. Here is my link:
