Move over M-JPEG...................................

THE FRONTLINE: READY OR NOT

DV Does Dual

Targa DV2000 RTX

Move over, M-JPEG: DV is going dual-stream, allowing real-time editing.
Thanks to lower costs and the ability to preserve camera-master-quality video throughout the production process, the DV format has been making inroads on M-JPEG territory. Now one of M-JPEG's last major advantages is going away.
Truevision's Targa DV2000 RTX real-time, dual-DV codec card ($7,995) has already been available for a few months and is currently the engine for Panasonic's NewsByte video-editing system. But the Truevision card has only gained limited acceptance with few open system partners and, more importantly, no editing software support -- until now.
In:sync's Speed Razor Mach 4.0
Completing the dual-stream DV picture is In:sync's Speed Razor Mach 4.0 RT editing software. Due to ship this quarter, the NT-based Mach 4.0 RT ($5,000) includes full support for Truevision's DV2000.
At $13,000 for the DV card and software combo, the Targa/In:sync partnership is targeting the professional nonlinear editing market, offering a significantly lower price than M-JPEG-based systems. DV's smaller file sizes will also reduce storage costs.

Major Technical Break Out On Rising Volume:

To break $20 decisively, we will need even greater volume: over a million shares. Rising Volume is a Bull's best friend and exactly what Cube needs here. 25 cents for the Quarter will put us at $25 fairly quickly with a decent conference call. Imagine this scenario on Friday: MSFT reports blow out earnings after the close today and Cube reports at least 25 cents. All Hell and Insanity breaks loose on Friday as the Metaphysical Cube transcends all leaps and bounds!
I expect the Nasdaq to trade above 2000 today and then pull back late in the session. Cube will gap open on Friday. Relax today Cube. Big Day on options expiration Friday. A big fight and bar room brawl is looming at the $35 level. Are you ready to lay it all on the line and fight for your destiny and long term health here?
To Wipe out the Curse and KILL the BEAR, Cube must break $35 decisively this summer. Cube is not a little Cub any more. I will be watching this confrontation very closely as it will greatly influence my long term view of Cube.
