This deal is the FCC's wet dream. First effective competition for the RBOC's.

Only downside is that the FCC is inherently a more political forum. So we may get the telecom unions last efforts there. Which could delay things a bit. But that's about it.

At this stage I wonder if the unions will try very hard. The momentum behind this deal is very strong now and everyone knows its going through.
