Actually, I don't expect any play on the technology. Reverse engineering being what it is these days, anything significant could be isolated and stolen without that much effort and it would be MUCh easier to simply partner with RACE (e.g. AT&T could ASK for a license at this point, probably for free, with a guarantee for future remitance at some sort of commission rate), so I don't think this "buyer" (assuming that's what 's going on--and it's a BIG assumption until we see the filing) is buying race for the patents. I think, per haps, some investment co/group may be buying for the rather large tax-loss carryover (perhaps someone is doing both--I could care less). Honestly, I actually found a use for the remaining RACE shares I didn't even remember having--I opened an account at a discount broker with them--so they've served their purpose! With a cost basis that is 95% underwater I hope they "turn into" 2 shares of AT&T or whatever that conversion would be! My prediction, the new "owner" will "convert" or buy the needed amount to reach 50%, takeover PR, issue a flurry of releases, change the climate of skepticism ever so slightly, use the write-off in their next period, ride the tide to $2-2.50, and promtly "sell the patents", etc. for a nice 6-9 month double. WE all know this compnay and tech isn't as bad as rod believes, but we're hopelessly stuck in the mud at this point...somewhere there is a company (with a sales force and brand name) that might actually have a use for BT--I'm just sorry it wasn't RACE, as we're NEVER going to get our money back. But, what the hell, it was a good story while it lasted!!! edge
