CC notes from Yahoo Board:

Hi,

I am hearing impaired, so I am happy with this board's progress with the CC. I took the liberty of aggregating content in
this Yahoo board. Rough summary of most the CC's quoted in Yahoo. Credit to everybody else EXCEPT ME! (Except
for putting all this together of course.)

///

- Glowing conference call.

- Except Q3 revenues to be flat or slightly rising.

- Q4 revenues to be 10% higher. Going to have a BIG marketing push for Q4.

- Clients other than Diamond and Creative Labs are being ramped up.

- Q2 has 90% revenues from Voodoo2.

- TnT bashing; The TnT performs worse on GameGauge. (I believe this was from a Banshee card... but not sure)

- Hiring big name ad agency, the same one that did the Budweiser frog advertisements and the "GOT MILK"
advertisements.

- Stressed that not all D3D games work on ALL D3D accelerators; Voodoo2 has an EXCELLENT record for
compatibility with D3D games.

- Top selling games that uses Glide (such as Unreal).

- Sees 1999 as the year when 3Dfx achieves dominance in market; exciting products on the way.

- Laura IR girl has left 3Dfx

- Management sounds aggressive

- Was going to design a 2-chip version of Voodoo2 but decided against that internally, going to use the extra materials for
Voodoo2 instead.

- Cheap Voodoo1s already starting to capture market share in some other countries (presumably with people who can't
afford Voodoo2).

- 1,500,000 Voodoo2 chipsets have been shipped, they expect to be able to ship another 1,500,000 chipsets before the
market becomes too saturated.

- Hit smack in middle of 3Dfx's 15-20% projections.

- R&D expense went up faster than expected.

- Hired people faster than expected, but sustainable. They expect to sustain the rate (might go up a little).

- Some of the price decreases in coming quarter will be offset by a cost decrease.

- OEM's love 3Dfx's branding, happy with OEM movement.

- Banshee AGP 2x coming in Q1/Q2 99

- They have signed purchase orders with OEM's that have not been yet announced (Banshee). Will announce when
OEM's say to go ahead.

- Making sure infrastructure is in place at 3Dfx to meet OEM's needs.

- Banshee will get 3Dfx into OEM doors, after that will be a big challenge for 3Dfx because of balance between retail
sales and OEM's

- Preparing press release concerning a hot product coming for holiday season.

- Banshee estimated to represent 10% of Q3, and roughly 25% of Q4

- R&D +38% and SG&A -17% ... Will be much higher in Q3/Q4 because of competition.

- Now has 30 boardmakers for Voodoo chipsets, which will help sustain revenues.

- Banshee followup product will be an OEM-only part, no retail. (Huh? Integrated into AMD chips?)

- Several new OEM's have come at 4%, 5%, 6% of 3Dfx's market, less dependence on Diamond and Creative Labs

- Price erosion met expectations at only 5% on Voodoo2

Thanks for the CC info. It is appreciated.

The next week should be a real zinger with options expiration. There is a lot of open interest in play this time.
