Hi Scott!

Been having some major heat here too, but the fog rolled into SF tonite, so that ought to cool things down a bit. By Sunday it's supposed to back to normal in our area.

Guess I've been tied to the wrong computer screens. Didn't know we were getting dereg'ed cable. I thought the cable companies had managed to overturn that. Hope you're right about the rates... it's about time we got some of our money back after the way they screwed the rates around 3 or so years ago. I'll check out the site. Guess nows not a good time to consider TCOMA etc.

I haven't given the dereg of power much thought. We had a big rush of advertising from Enron, then they decided to bag it and go for limited commercial customers. Don't know of anyone else in our area that is courting customers. Seems like business as usual. 10% is a major chunk considering it's only gone up for decades (if you ignore the occasional refunds for natural gas with higher thermal ratings). What's this going to mean to PCG? Any concern about jobs?

Yeah, EGRP has been nice to me. I'm not sure what's going to happen with this b/o, but so far it's hung in there. I'd sure like to see some follow thru. I think folks don't know how to evaluate it, so they're treading lightly.
