I have checked several domain names that might fit the Insider Trading company name, and all the following names are taken: itrade.com itrader.com intrade.com intrader.com insider.com inside.com insidertrade.com insidetrading.com and, of course - insidertrading.com (with the 'g' -- rats!) One can see why the company chose "insidertradin.com" (without the 'g'), all the other obvious names being taken (see my previous post #5770 to understand my objections to this domain name). The only available domain name that I found that fits with Insider Trading was "instrade.com". The other approach is to do as DianaX suggested, which is to change the site name altogether so that it is catchier, more distinctive (there is already a site called Insider Trader) and to which a more suitable domain name could be attached. I looked up domain names as suggested by several members of this thread, and also some ideas of my own. The following names are already taken: protrade.com protrader.com powertrade.com powertrader.com brokerbuster.com marketmaster.com mastertrade.com trademaster.com tradingfloor.com pittrader.com fasttrade.com eztrade.com infotrade.com Some names that I have checked which are NOT taken are: directtrader.com (note that "directtrade", w/o the 'r', is taken). marketmadness.com markettaker.com I especially like that last one, Market Taker, as it suggests taking back the market from the Market Makers! It's those that understand and despise the MM's that would be the best customers for a site like this, and a name like Market Taker would play well with this audience. JMO. Remember, you sell the sizzle! We need a name (Company and Domain) that's catchy and distinctive. Those of us who agree that Insider Trading doesn't quite fit these criteria, let's get those creative juices flowing and come up with some good suggestions for John. - Greg P.S.: Sorry about the long posts. I only get 3/day at present.
