Lets take a peek at MAIR. Lets look at MAIR as a group exersize in TA. It has been awhile since we have done this together.

MAIR broke out of an approximately 3 month wide basing pattern and has been in an uptrend going from 23 to about 28 in about as many trading days. The volume during the initial part of the breakout was about average from what I can see and then proceeded to go down to a very small volume which coincided with the big up day that made the gap and now today's down day under volume that is very large for this stock. This stock has characteristic wide trading ranges during the day in this uptrend and has not pulled back until today. The stock has left behind its 20 day and 13 day EMA and even its 5 day EMA yesterday. Today it has pulled back under high volume to close at its low which is where a support is for the stock, a gap that the stock made a few days ago on a bounce from its 5 day EMA. The volume seen for the close down today was the highest for this stock since late 1996. The stock is still holding above its 5 day EMA. The MACD is overextended. RSI appears to be in an uptrend and not diverging. However, MF and OBV show divergences by staying flat during the runup and then moving down to break through their MA when the stock closed down today.

Now, a few questions to make this interesting. First, does this stock look like that it will carry through with its breakout after its retracement? What would be the first price objective set for this retracement? What would be a good entry for this stock? Would yesterday of been a good entry, assuming not knowing about today? What would be a good mental stop loss for this stock? Some of these questions may have the same answer.

Hint: Chris, your Advanced GET may help here.

I will be looking at the tape action on this stock tomarrow to see how it responds to the resistance provided by the previous gap.
