O/T John; you actually prove my point about Looneytoonius Taurus... Read the dates on these posts; he could not have been more wrong or ill-timed. He was discounting the obvious at the time; that there was a significant change occurring in the supply/demand curve in crude. As I mentioned, I took the later March sell off as the first ''dip'' upon which to make my initial buys into the oil sector. Looneytoonius is making my case about market timing ! - Right here, just a week or so prior to the BIG March sell off, the great Looneytoonius makes a great ''trader-market timer'' call and suggests buying (timing) into this sector right now! Not off the big January sell off that we just recovered from ( I again say buy on the 20% + major dip/selloffs like Jan or March ) but right there on the date of his post! - on March 5th and 8th ; he's of course buying on momentum as the patch had made a nice run up from the January sell off; if you heeded Looneytoonius's advice on March 5th & 8th --- you got SLAUGHTERED immediately on the March selloff ! - same as on his directive to ''wait untill May'' ...proves my point... buy/average down on major dips and don't try to ''time'' or trade in & out of the market ... Where was Luc during the ''no-brainer'' buying opportunities of the sell offs in January , March, late June or this past monday ? - was he screaming BUY ? - hell no, he was a bear at the alltime 52 week low ! I rest my case ! ...on the subject of ''clueless'' per your post; I again rest my case. If you think Looky-Luc has a clue ......buy some gold, short the DOW to his call of 4000 and build a bombshelter ! You don't get it do you ? Looneytoonius Taurus flip-flops back and forth more often than a cheap screen door in an West Texas breeze.... this guy just pulls things out of his ass and throws it out there....from his ''Son of Sam'' talking Dog ''inside info'' from his crude trading buddies at Texxaco & Exxon (really the gas jockeys at the full service pump) to his DOW 4000 - '' the world is coming to an end ''GoldBug'' pronouncements to his ''360'' spins & ill-timed shoot from the hip; occassional bullish statement; .... this guy has no consistancy ! He has no foundation of a core philosphy or strategy; he never quotes mathematical statistics or actual company numbers - this guy is a ''chat room'' kook; blowing gobblydeegook out his ass on a daily basis & wayyyyy to many people think this guy belongs walking the streets; let alone listen to a word he says....... ?!? PS: please do not fail to understand that I'm laughing my ass off while typing this post; I welcome Luc to post whenever he wants - my responses to opposing views WILL NOT be a regular occurrence and will end here shortly - so eveyone feel free to ''be as bearish as you wanna be'', but if you post gibberish & psychobabble garbage -- pleaseeeeeee do NOT think it will go unchallenged !
