Guys,

Can you all share with me some thought related to the following at the companies you trade with:

1) If you, for example, want to short a stock, and you use your trading companies electronic (web, or other) trading tools, how long does it take (in minutes) for the system to "find" the stock and the amount you want to short, and report this back to you to?

2) Once you get the stock to short, but now are away from your target short price, can you change the order (the price, specifically) without having to research for stock to short all over again? In other words, can you "edit" the pricing part of the order without having to cancel and restart the whole shorting process at a new price?

Thanks in advance.
