Did you suggest, to howard, having another conference call to clarify the current issues?

It might be a better approach to "hear it" from the sources.

ADC to Supply China Telecom with GSM Network Deployment Vehicle System for Trial

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 15, 1998--

-- GSM network on wheels allows carrier to quickly and easily

deploy wireless service in emergency situations or for temporary

capacity and coverage needs --

ADC Wireless Systems Group, a business unit of ADC
Telecommunications (NASDAQ: ADCT; www.adc.com), along with its Chinese
strategic partner, Topper Electric, today announced an agreement with
China Telecom and Shanghai Posts & Telecommunications to trial ADC's
GSM Network Deployment Vehicle system. The solution incorporates an
entire GSM (global system for mobile communications) network in a van,
allowing China Telecom to establish service directly in areas where
temporary wireless coverage is needed.

China Telecom will use the GSM network in the Shanghai area.
Following successful completion of the trial, China Telecom
anticipates obtaining additional mobile GSM networks for Shanghai and
other areas throughout China.

ADC's GSM Network Deployment Vehicle would enable China Telecom
to fill temporary capacity needs -- such as those required under
emergency conditions -- to provide coverage for critical services.
ADC's GSM Network Deployment Vehicle can also be used at conventions,
sporting events or other large events, providing seamless coverage.

The combination of ADC's compact and powerful GSM network and
Topper's similarly advantageous PABX for public switched telephone
network (PSTN) access has produced the industry's smallest system that
fits in a passenger van.

"ADC's GSM microcellular solutions are rapidly finding acceptance
in the expanding China wireless market," said Monte Egeland, a
director with ADC Mobile Systems. "This special-purpose solution for
China Telecom is a great opportunity for ADC to demonstrate its unique
and diverse capabilities."

ADC's GSM solution enables flexible configuration options,
including extension to a network operator's existing mobile switching
center (MSC) or as a complete GSM network, connecting directly to the
PSTN. ADC's GSM network provides powerful solutions for coverage and
capacity while maintaining a compact design for easy deployment.

ADC and its strategic partner, Topper Electric, have been working
together on several projects to promote and support micro GSM
solutions in China. This strategic relationship combines the strengths
of both companies, bringing additional expertise to network operators
in China.

Topper Electric Corporation, headquartered in Hangzhou, the
capital of Zhejiang Province, is one of the fastest growing
telecommunications infrastructure suppliers in China. Topper develops,
manufactures and markets advanced telecommunications equipment
including broadband switches, intelligent network peripherals and
transmission systems.

ADC Telecommunications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADCT) is a leading global
supplier of voice, video and data systems for telephone, cable
television, Internet, broadcast , wireless and private communications
networks. ADC's systems enable local access and high-speed
transmission of communications services from providers to consumers
and businesses over fiber-optic, copper, coaxial and wireless media.
