The Baltic States are the most advanced countries of the
former USSR, certainly more advanced than Russia. However, I'm not
aware of how one can invest in them. They are becoming gradually
less dependent on Russia, more oriented to the West. Russia is
the biggest potential market in the region. I prefer
to invest with a fund - RNE - which invests in the region,
diversified, in many countries (Mostly Russia, Hungary, Poland,
Chech republic). Baltic states are not included. -Vi
