it has been said that forbes already has a nice severance package in place if he isnt given the ceo's position by the year 2000, but im hoping that there is some sort of clause pertaining to "fraud" which will prevent him from benefitting.

it has also been reported that he has already walked away with 11 million, i understand, off the stock options he sold shortly before the first announcement of accounting irregularities, i consider that criminal (my opinion only, see disclaimer), and i should think it is payment enough for all the chaos his watch at cuc has created at cendant.

i am in favor of his immediate dismissal, and do not think he is the man to run cendant in the future.

good luck everyone, jl

disclaimer: this said with the understanding that there have been no charges brought against forbes, and that my position and opinions with regard to the issue of fraud are purely speculation.
