They count PC's with WIN 98 going out of DELL, HP, GTW, and CPQ. That's probably NOT retail copies purchased at COMPUSA for our "old" computers, for example.

My take is that 1 out of 10 unsatisfied is unacceptable. What are other people's positions?

Who cares. What are they going to do - switch to OS/2?

A half million in two weeks sounds to me like just what would be sold with new machines and nobody updating. But that's JMHO.

re: <<Windows 98 sold a half million the first two days, and another half million the next two weeks? Am I missing something or are we talking major slowdown in sales?

And 9 out of 10 Windows 98 home users stating they are satisfied with the product---does that mean 1 out of 10 unsatisfied? People on this thread know my position on Win 98. My take is that 1 out of 10 unsatisfied is unacceptable. What are other people's positions?>>
====-=-====-=-=-=-=
I'd guess the 1 out of 10 had to get a driver updated or something.

As for your slowdown remark, was that serious? Have you heard
of pre-ordering?

Bearded, you act like this is about ethics, yet you're long novell and
netscape. Please choose one side of your mouth to talk out of.

Also, I know some one who spends hours a day dealing with broken
Novell networks, so spare me your pomposity.

thanks

Just read the statement carefully, it was said "MORE" than one million "RETAIL"
licences were sold since .....

it can be two million, three million ....etc, of course did not include licences sold to
coperation users.
