But, because it is a metastock file and metastock has not shared the 2000 file directory, you are held to 255 stocks for directory. Because Metastock manages files at a 8-10 year old process. You don't get a full view of all 11,000+ stocks. Notice that WOW does give you full read of all TC2000 ver 3 files, well WOW could do this for the metastock files. The charting program only restricts you to 255 because the programmer didn't think about what he was doing.

Will this ever be fixed? I doubt it. It has been a problem for years. No one wants to go in and fix the coding.A good thing about GET vs. MSWIN and WOW is that when they support a data vendor, they will pick up all the files on the disk. So complain to WOW and Metastock about not giving you the capability.

gonzongo (and others)... I'm very new to TA and a new user of QP2. How many of you use other TA tools like MetaStock, Windows on Wallstreet, etc.? Any of you use OmniTrader? Is there sufficient added value to these over QP2 to use both?

I'd love the ability to "practice" trades by stepping through time with a chart to see how my interpretation would have resulted in subsequent time frames. Do MS and WOW do this? OmniTrader?
